I’m Tandrima Mazumdar, a psychotherapist and mindfulness teacher based in Manchester, dedicated to helping people cultivate well-being, balance, and self-awareness through compassionate, culturally-informed care.

My motivation

I bring deep empathy from my own lived experience to my practice, and I have worked extensively with global majority communities and vulnerable individuals, facilitating safe spaces for healing and empowerment. I’m actively involved in advocacy and community organising, including founding HERSTORY, my own group for migrant women in Salford.

Partenering with various UK universities, my research experience spans global-majority issues around public health, including mental health, menopause, and modern day slavery. I have published research on help-seeking attitudes of South Asian communities during Covid-19 in collaboration with with University of Manchester. This research has helped inform the NHS of the barriers to accessing support for these communities, and the need for culturally-responsive care.
Working alongside community organisations in Greater Manchester and across the UK.
